Training Like A Pro!

Evening,

What an incredible week so far! We have spent the majority of this week at quite possibly the most advanced and professional training complex in the world, the Manchester City Campus! We have had morning sessions with Manchester City coaches, where we have focused on communication, touch, distribution and game management among many others facets of the game. The sessions have been superb, on incredible playing surfaces and most importantly of all, a lot of fun!

On Tuesday we had two fixtures against Cheadle Hulme School, our U12 team and our U14 boys. This was a hotly anticipated fixture and a chance for our players to put their recent training into practice. It was a typical afternoon in the north west of England, crisp weather with grey skies! The two teams put on two fantastic performances, showed a tremendous amount of character and adapted well to the challenges of a 11-a-side game, a first for quite a few. Although Cheadle Hulme were victorious in both games, we gave an excellent account of ourselves and both games could have gone either way.

Yesterday, we had a once in a lifetime experience of travelling on Manchester City's First Team bus! We had breakfast as usual and headed outside to get on our usual coach and, to our surprise, the First Team bus sat there, waiting for us. It was a sensational experience for us all as we drove through Manchester to training, sitting on the very same seats as the pros! Wow!

When we have not been training or playing competitive fixtures we have managed to fit in time for Adventure Golf, the Cinema , stadium tours of both Manchester clubs and Everton FC and had the tour annual quiz, won by Mr. Hamon and Mr. Thomson.

Tonight we have been lucky enough to get tickets for a Champions League Quarter Final matchup between Manchester City Women and Fortuna Hjorring!
