Match Report
Harrow International School Hong Kong Boys-U11A Year 6 vs  Kellett Touch
On: Wednesday, 07 Mar 2018
Venue: Away

Due to our Year 6's being on camp we took a young side comprised of mainly Year 5's, and couple Year 4's, to Kings Park for the Kellet touch tournament.

With little to no experience of touch rugby, the boys only had about 20 minutes preparation before the tournament and then a steep learning curve at the start of the day to quickly pick up the rules and pace of the game. The first two games resulted in defeats yet the boys worked tremendously hard to get into defensive positions and run with pace when we had the ball. Each game saw a considerable improvement and this resulted in our first win in game three verses Kellet B with the captain of the day, William Fox scoring the try.

Other notable games included our narrow defeat to Kellet C in game 6, in which we were down by 2 tries, but the boys showed great determination and managed to grab a late score in the last play of the game through great footwork from Juanma Farias Flocco.

This resilience was the theme of the day and the boy's efforts cannot be faulted with them playing over 80minutes of rugby in total. The culmination of which was a victory in the 7th/8th place playoff match where they won the game, scoring the winning try after the buzzer, after going a score down initially.

Well done boys!
