Match Report
Harrow International School Hong Kong Mixed-U12 Blue vs  Macau Bats
On: Saturday, 18 Nov 2017
Venue: Away

This weekend was the inaugural match between Macau Bats and Harrow HK. We played for the Pipestrelle cup ( named after a bat that lives in Harrow UK and the logo of the Macau club). We were well beaten by a strong side. The pupils can hold their heads high as they played 80 minutes of rugby and made drastic improvements after the first quarter and it was their first game of the pre season. Special mentions to Fabiola who made her debut for rugby at Harrow and to Albie Ireland who captained the team. He led from the front through his actions and made a very impressive after match speech. Well done to Freddy Durrant who received an honourable mention for his performances.

The teams along with supporters and parents gathered for an after match function. Many friendships were formed and this is most certainly the beginning of many more events with the Macau club.

Many thanks to the parents who joined us for the event, and all the parents who supported their children in going. A big thank you to the Macau Bats for their hospitality.

A fantastic successful event and we look forward to many more to come.
